Bellew wants to give Cleverly a good hiding

Boxing, as a sport, is as much about trash talking as it is about giving your opposition a brutal battering and Liverpool based Tony Bellew has certainly done his bit to heat things up between him and Welshman Nathan Cleverly, whom he labeled as a fraud and promised to give him a real good hiding.

Both the boxers aim to win the world title at their weight category and the Englishman believes that the two are very close to fighting each other once again in a rematch of their epic brawl in 2011, which Cleverly won by a majority decision.

Bellew is planning his third attempt at claiming a world championship gold and he stated that he knows his promoter Eddie Hearn is trying to set up a match between him and the clown Cleverly, and added that he is keen for the match to happen too.

The man from Merseyside further added that Cleverly is the only boxer he well and truly hates. He mentioned that he doesn’t like Adonis Stevenson as a person, but he is a top notch boxer in his own right. But the Welshman, on the other hand, is some he detests. He mentioned he despises the way he looks at him, thinking of himself as something he clearly isn’t.

Cleverly is a mathematics graduate and according to Bellew, he is an absolute fraud, he doesn’t want to be a boxer.
He mentioned that if he has to beat him to get a shot at the world title, then he would happily do it. He added that he almost begged for a rematch but was rebuffed, mentioning that everyone knows how much he wanted and how much Cleverly wanted to avoid it.

Now that they are both at Cruiserweight, the match is very much a possibility.
